Discovering Veganashi: A Unique Sushi Experience in Barcelona

During my recent food adventure in Barcelona, I had the pleasure of visiting Veganashi – a one-of-a-kind vegan sushi spot that completely blew me away. This isn’t your typical sushi place. At Veganashi, everything is 100% vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free, offering a refreshing, healthy take on traditional Japanese cuisine.

What makes it truly special is the creativity behind every bite — unexpected flavor combinations, vibrant ingredients, and an undeniable sense of freshness that makes each roll feel like a work of art.

We enjoyed a variety of beautifully crafted dishes, starting with vegan gluten-free mushroom gyoza and beet ravioli filled with vegan cheese. We also tried a delicious tempura roll stuffed with veggies and cheese, and of course, the signature combo platter — packed with color, taste, and surprises.

Naturally, we couldn’t leave without dessert. We shared a raw passionfruit cake, which pleasantly surprised me (and I’m not usually a raw dessert fan), and a vegan Snickers bar that, as a serious chocolate lover, I devoured in seconds.

The magic behind Veganashi comes from Tais and Tamara, two inspiring women who bring together their passion for food, culture, and conscious living. Their vision goes far beyond sushi — it’s about celebrating veganism in a way that’s delicious, sustainable, and rooted in community.

If you’re looking for a mindful and flavorful dining experience in Barcelona, Veganashi is an absolute must-visit.
